Moving Not Knowing, Being Not Making, Ongoing Not Finished is a work in collaboration with Amie Dowling, Elaine Buckholtz, Nataline Greene, Sharon Cox, and a cast of Bay Area performers.

Conceptual artist David Ireland converted his home, 500 Capp Street, into a state of mind. This work was a response to this state and the impressions the house has left on us. The investigations were a series of site-specific installations and performance interventions. Coinciding with preservation efforts by the 500 Capp St Foundation, the performances considered Ireland’s deep relationship with his home and its own history, rejecting distinctions between art and everyday life. Themes of preservation, repair, assemblage, time, and notions of the natural, will offer audiences a window into Ireland’s legacy.
